                Thanks -  I get it now.  So the only way to do it and
preserve the ability to alias resolved names would be to have another config
entry which is processed before the DNS lookup.  This could just be used for
the address ranges that never get resolved.  So my initial suggestion of
creating a new entry like:

ISPADDRESSRANGE REGEXP:^([^.]*)$ $1.isp-name.net
        would be the only way to take this forward.  

        If this is not seen as a good feature for analog in general can you
give a few pointers on how I might incorporate it into the code "myself".
