Well, if Analog has been asked to do DNS lookups, then prior to the 
lookup for each entry it attempts to match each alias if and only if the 
host entry is an IP number. If no aliases apply, then proceed with the 
DNS lookup. If an alias does apply and produce something that is not an 
IP number, then skip the DNS lookup.
