ST> Suppose you only have two requests in your logfile, one at 1am and one at

Thank you for the reply (and for developping analog).
I understand what you mean. But I still want to know why the
analog subtract 1 from the real requests.
In my previous original mail, I added a result of analog (and an
additional cfg file) under my signature. Here again:
========== Result of analog ==============
[msi@myhost analog]$ ./analog -g./etc/analog-daily.cfg
Web Server Statistics for My Web Page [myhost.unisys.co.jp]
==========================================================
Program started at Thu-05-Apr-2001 20:17.
Analysed requests from Wed-04-Apr-2001 00:00 to Thu-05-Apr-2001 00:00 (1.00
days).

General Summary

This report contains overall statistics.
Successful requests: 7,095
Average successful requests per day: 7,094
Successful requests for pages: 1,644
Average successful requests for pages per day: 1,643

========== end of cfg ===========
Time period is exactly one day, which is 1440-minute long.
The numbers of requests and Ave. requests should be same.
However, the number of "requests" is 7095 and the
"Ave. requests" is 7094.
Why do you make the analog calculate "(7095 - 1)" (actually,
"(7095-1)*1440/1440)") instead of "7095" itself?
Regards,
