Thanks for reporting, we need as much feedback as possible. I'll check with
George and see if he received it. Also make sure that you have the external
installer process, otherwise the client will attempt to connect to a
non-existent socket and freeze up on an install. Details located here:

Actually, I don't think my statements are inaccurate. All I've seen posted
from verifiable sources, is that the members have agreed not to fragment the
platform. The location based APIs are optional, so a carrier could easily
restrict these optional APIs to signed applications. I also haven't been
able to find anything (other than blogs) that says the carriers are okay
with installing any application, with any permission on their devices. If I
missed this, please point me to it. I'd love to be wrong on this.
