hey everyone -- Education/Reference: Librarium II (update from recently released app on market) Description: Librarium helps you read Latin by bringing word definitions to your finger tips. Simply tap a word, and its online definition is displayed, and copied to a local database for faster lookup next time. Edit the definitions as you like, and add your own pages of Latin text. Includes a few texts. By: Steve Oliver Published on the market: No, waiting for ADC2 feedback (older version already on market) Website: http://steveoliverc.squarespace.com (the original app)
I was not planning on entering the competition, but a few days ago I figured, why not? Any feedback is good to get, and that's all I'm hoping for. I published the original versio 2 weeks ago and have added new features, such as a sliding drawer to display a frequent word list. Took about 6 weeks, mostly evenings and a few long weekends. I'm glad I did the app because I learned a lot about Anroid. So many things I figured would be tough turned out to be easy, but of course a lot of stuff I figured would be easy turned out to be really hard :) I am looking forward to the day where we have something like Interface Builder for Android and Eclipse. I don't expect Google to allow updates, and I'm all for that. Yes, I know I've got a few bugs I would like to fix, but I also think there is too much potential for new features to be added which will change the ratings between rounds of judging. I'm really looking forward to see everyone's apps -- sounds like a lot of great entries! Good luck, everyone.
