Your attribution seems consistent with my experiences. It is kind of like you open up a restaurant and then the new road that was to bring those customers that you planned to serve introduces a construction delay. A delay so severe that customers can't even choose you if it is in their plans. Coupons will not work. You're cut off with no revenue and no clear way to attract investors to keep your investment afloat. Try to save as much as you can. This pattern happens to lots of folks with non-IT businesses. I think the key is to not get bitter and view every event as fortunate in some way. For our application the handset cost is the critical path. The software is, frankly, not that sophisticated. The bigger the body of work Google provides, the better off we are - for smooth integration with the ecosystem. ...
