I think, there is some misunderstaning. Alarm can be on or off. But new appointment is created with alarm turned on by default. You CAN change this. At this time, there is simply no option yet in settings for changing default state of alarm for new appointments. There is nothing wrong with this. Just press alarm checkbox, and it's off.
