Most of the screens do not work in Landscape mode as you cannot scroll them (talking about things like add appointment/note/tasks, week view, month view, options screen)
If the intention is to not let the user use landscape mode then you should display a popup saying switch to Portrait (close the keyboard). Personally though I would rather use it in Landscape to utilise the real keyboard rather than the on-screen one.
