"...Android Engineers from Google seem a tad bit grumpy on these discussions when criticism is aimed at Android??"
Uh, yes. But understandably. They spend tons of time making this excellent platform. They spend even more time reading these boards. Repeatedly, they see people whining and complaining about Android. Even I have participated in voicing my complaints, some even stating my intentions to switch platforms altogether! If I were them, and saw the same complaints over and over, I suppose I would be a little upset as well. This is a very important project to them, after all. I think it's beyond their control to change most of the problems/complaints I read (and even post myself) here. In the end however, I believe it's constructive. No matter how upsetting it is to the engineers, voicing these concerns will hopefully make the platform better. As much as I dislike certain facets of the Android OS, I still cannot pull myself away from developing for it. I am positive for the future outlook of the software, and the best way to improve it is to say what needs to be improved. (Look at Apple's copy & paste :) "We now have copy & paste!" (Crowd:) "Ooooooh" On topic: Android does almost everything now what Apple's iPhone will do in the next version of the iPhone OS. Once Android's interface gets slicked up, then Apple will truly have to worry, and Android develops will have much less to complain about. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
