You're so right about Android being functional to the iPhone OS, and
that it only needs a makeover for the often blinded Apple fans who go
"oooh, shiny" to realize Android's superiority. However, without
complaining or whining, I'd like to continue people to make a list of
things they'd like to see in a future Android phone. I don't mean
they should be whiney about it, but if everybody has ideas as to how
to make them better, listing them and explaining / talking about them
couldn't hurt, and I'm sure that the Google engineers, to whom this
project is very dear, have some ideas or visions of their own that
haven't yet come to fruition. For all these people, writing down all
their ideas and having one unified place, and also being able to see
others' ideas, would be very useful. Ergo, I encourage any and all
Android users, or followers to post below, explanation or not, what
you would like to see in future Android builds.

e.g.

"
* More stable keyboard - often times when I'm writing it reads that I
hit the wrong letter.
* Universal search - this would be really useful for Android so people
could access their data conveniently and quickly
* Multitouch - self-explanatory
* A more coherent theme throughout - to slick up the Android OS and
make it more competitive with the iPhone and crazed Apple fans
* Peer to peer Bluetooth connectivity
* VoIP (understand if they can't do this due to T-Mobile or other
carriers)
etc. etc.
"

Disclaimer: all of the above complaints or suggestions are fictional,
unfortunately, I don't even own a G1 or Android powered device, though
I am looking into developing for it (just have to learn Java first :P)
