That would be YOUR problem, not theirs. A debit card (otherwise known
as a BANK CARD) under sensible ownership, should NEVER be used for ANY
kind of purchases, even at a retailer. This is because the only thing
between the card and your bank account is a simple 4-digit password. A
CREDIT card, which is what you SHOULD be using for online purchases,
comes with a special security feature... limited liability -- this
means that if your credit card (or credit card number) is stolen and
used, you are NOT responsible. If you use a BANK CARD and some theif
clears out your bank accound, you're broke.

Anyhow, you can buy prepaid credit cards that will solve your problem,
but judging from what you've written, I doubt that it matters. You
sound like you're probably a child and mommy just bought you a new
phone for your birthday. And your comments regarding the phone's
usability are kind of retarded. In particular this: "i may have to
return my phone anyway due to excessive problems, personally i think
the market and software should have been stable and open 3-6 months
before the release not 1-x months after release." ** FACT IS that it
HAS been. In fact, since OCTOBER LAST YEAR. There IS no other phone as
stable. The market IS open and functional. The fact that YOU don't
have access to paid apps (whether it is due to their being provided or
due to your inability to buy them) is NOT a function of "ready" or
"stable". Don't go blaming the operating system for what your crappy
CARRIER (rogers) failed to manage.

And as a final point, it doesn't matter what phone you have, you STILL
won't be able to buy paid android market apps. But with ANY other
phone, you WILL be subject to random freezing, rebooting, complete and
total lockups, etc. Good luck with that.
