IANAL, and I suspect YANAL, which is why I asked for your evidence.

My sense is that David M's comments on that thread are accurate -- there
is a specific legal definition of "affiliates" that may not cover the
Sprint/The Weather Channel relationship.

That being said, again, IANAL, and those concerned about this issue are
encouraged to seek qualified legal counsel regarding any such issues
raised in a forum like this.
