And onto the 'trademark' game we go. Just because Google trademarked 'android' does not mean it owns that name. It's like trying to trademark 'air'. Anyone can use the word 'android'. The only time this becomes and issue is if someone tried to create a product and label it 'android'. Wanted to make sure everyone gets this.
