I mostly love what Google does and use all of their main products (Gmail, Calendar, Maps, Voice, Sites, etc) but I'm going to play devil's advocate, for the sake of discussion.

Also, Google is notorious for "tinkering" with their "labs" and "20% time" projects. Sometimes they get bored and completely abandon projects.
