Yes, that is where it needs to go to. (http://ubuntuforums.org/) Or just look at the Read Me on the Virtual Box page. There are a number of known issues when using a Window's host with VBox - notably memory leaks and freezing. > i think it is hanging precisely because swap is overwriting fs If by "fs" you mean file system, then no. It is not doing that. 512 MB RAM is barely enough to run gnome, and 11.04 is the worst possible release you could pick, even w/o the VBox issues on Windows. The default in 11.04 is a 3D UI- which, when virtualized, dumps you to a Gnome UI that was thrown back into the packages at the last minute because Cannonical did not finish Unity-2D on time. Try 10.04 LTS rather than the current bleeding edge release. And someone up there was confused about "commercial virtualization"... Virtual Box is the commercial version -assuming that is what he is using. They offer it as a PUEL (personal user evaluation license) for individual download and testing. And uhhh... some folks could benefit from: <snip> My poor phone nearly had a cardiac arrest downloading all of this. just saying... :-) Cheers~ Chris -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
