and when you add "Google" to the search for Android on Yahoo groups, I
find there is a nifty Android group up and running:

Not sure how I missed that both recently and last year when I checked.
 I kept turning up nothing except an andoriod fetish group.  Go
figure.

The AndroidUsers group seems to be fairly well established and active,
so I would consider recomending that.  Perhaps I'll keep the
"Android_OS" around as a fallback should a mass exodus from google
groups ever be required...
