Seems to be a bit of this going on (and not just from the Handster crowd).

It's worth having a good dig through the Handster T&Cs to check whether or 
not they are allowed to do this without notification. It's certainly 
incredibly poor that they're doing this without actually filtering out 
android specific information in many cases though.  I really don't think 
this is going to help RIM in the long run.
