Yet it happened again.

A user leaving a 1 star comment with a vague support message along the
lines:
"doing X no longer works in updated version, worked before. Please fix"

Of course feature X is quite complex and there is not enough detail to
understand if this is a user error or a real issue:
it requires getting more info from this user which would have been possible
if user sent an email in the first place.

This is totally infuriating as I have no way to contact this user.

I can leave with idiot 1 star comments without problem, but there it is
really frustrating when it is a support question and you can
do absolutely nada about it

Google really should update the Google Play app to display a warning popup
before posting any comment, indicating what type of comments are not
appropriate.
I'm so sick of the comment system being abused for support questions.

Or is the only solution is that each app on first run show a big fat dialog
with such a warning written in CAPS ?

I've addressed a lot of issues including the one where people don't get that the menu button works for apps not just the phone but putting such info on the dialogs or startup screen. Phones ought to come with a sticker on the screen saying that. On the 10" tablet version of one of my apps I actually listed a bunch of stuff in a startup dialog. All these come with the support email link. I also have two helps, one that comes with the app and another that is online where I can address issues. Since we have more room in the description I also deflect negative and ignorant comments there.

But I think regardless what we do a lot of the world is made up of losers who will always want to post a negative comment and leave one star regardless of how well designed and developed the app is. Some people are just plain clueless.
