Oliver, as you can see in my original email I've tried modprobing arc4 without
success.

I think that if it was simply a dependency problem, it would be solved by
modprobing arc4 manually. However the problem is still there even if
I modprobe the arc4 before inserting the card. Also on my debian etch
installation the dependencies are the same as in Angstrom and I have no
problems with WPA (with 2.6.18 and 2.6.22 kernels).

I confirm that (I said it in a previous email).

Koen, the package versions of all related modules seem OK (2.6.24-r5). Also
modinfo reports the same string "vermagic: 2.6.24 preempt mod_unload ARMv5".
