To translate : Apertium utilise le jeu de caractères UTF-8 we presently get in Spanish with Apertium : Apertium utiliza el juego de índoles UTF-8
Without learning Spanish a lot the word índole(s) seems strange. It makes me think to the French word indolent. Other translators and on-line dictionaries gives carácter / caracteres to translate the French Word caractère(s). If it's good, what means thje spanish word índole ? Several on-line dictionaries translate it by "nature" but can I have examples of Spanish senbtences using this word ? And has "jeu de caractères" (charset in English) to be translated as a multiword ? For the same sentence, yahoo translator (using Systran) gives a translation word by word : Apertium utiliza el juego de caracteres UTF-8 but Google translate it as a multiword : Apertium utiliza la codificación UTF-8 Are the two translations good ? How would it be translated in Esperanto (and in Portugaise if there are people speakin it) ? -------------------------------- Bernard Chardonneau (France) Phone : [33] 1 64 90 87 04 (from Sept to June except holidays) GSM phone : [33] 6 49 95 13 95 (french scholl holidays, C zone) Multilingual websites for my free softwares : http://libremail.free.fr and http://libremail.tuxfamily.org http://cyloop.tuxfamily.org (mainly translated with Apertium) My general website (in french only) http://bech.free.fr ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
