Hello,

This is outside Todo's normal focus, but please bear with me. Along with all
my tasks, etc., I use Todo for my grocery lists. I've tried several shopping
list apps -- I even paid for one app, which I don't do lightly -- and
they've all been more trouble than they're worth. It takes too long to enter
each item, whereas Todo's Quick-Add feature makes it so easy. It's also so
nice to be able to enter items via Toodledo, so if I see a recipe online,
say, I can just enter all the ingredients in Toodledo, in my Shopping
folder.

Even over the few weeks I've been doing this, I have entered and checked off
quite a selection of items. It occurs to me that it would be very helpful to
be able to store these items for reuse so I don't have to re-enter them next
time I need them. What if there was a way to have a "storage" folder
associated with a certain folder? Say I could specify (by folder or by item)
where an item goes after it's checked off -- to Completed Items or to
Storage. All my shopping items would go to Shopping Storage after being
checked off, then next time I'm heading out I could just go to Shopping
Storage and uncheck the things I need that trip, thus sending them back to
the shopping list. Over time I'd build up a pretty complete list of things I
shop for, and there's all that typing saved, plus an easy way to check for
things I might need to buy. (I suppose the checking/unchecking would act as
a sort of toggle, sending the item to one list or the other.)

As I said, I realize this isn't the main purpose of Todo... but if it turned
out to be not-too-huge a programming task, there'd be this whole other
avenue of listmaking goodness!

Thanks for listening,
Anna
