One thing I notice when my syncing goes awry is that it's usually when I shuffle stuff around on Todo and then sync to RTM, especially with repeating tasks.
When I complete a repeating task on Todo, it sometimes generates a duplicate (sometimes even before syncing). Other situations that screw up syncing is when I shuffle the due date of a task, complete it, and then sync. Every now and then I'll just continue happily using Todo without syncing and after a couple days when I sync some of the completed tasks crop back up. Before the latest update, there was a bug where a repeating task got turned into a non-repeating one after a couple rounds of completion. Haven't seen that one lately but just throwing the info out there. It would be nice if syncing could be scheduled at various intervals (1 hour for battery/bandwidth conscious) and if it was non-blocking (you could complete, add edit, tasks during syncing).
