I fire up ToDo about 20 times a day. Keep it simple with only 8 lists:
Plans (projects mostly), Desk (anything computer/phone based), Family
(reminders to do the fun stuff), Home (house chores), In Town (anything
needed in town), Personal (mostly self improvement guff), Think (ideas that
need to become more concrete) and most importantly Waiting On (where all
stuff goes that is in someone else's hands).

I start in the Focus list, and will tick things off from there, but when
something needs someone else to come through for me then it simply gets
recategorized into the 'Waiting On' list and put it due next week.

I don't really use Projects or Checklists that much ... but sympathize with
calls for some sort of Checklist template where we could put pack lists,
shopping lists etc. That would be good.

One thing I would love is the Due Date sorting to be 'reversible' ... ie. in
the Focus list the most recent stuff would be at the top, and the old stuff
(that you're kind of putting off and bored of looking at) would be at the
bottom. I know, I know ... it's supposed to be a good thing that the most
overdue stuff hits you first ... but I bet most people are like me and find
themselves continuously wading past ten or twelve things they are bored of
looking at just to look at what really is pressing and needs to be done
TODAY ... !

Anyway - nothing too radicle there - but that's how I work.

Subject: [appigo-todo] What's your workflow?

This isn't a post about a bug, feature request, or complaint of ToDo
2.0.1, but more of a survey of how people use it. I'm perfectly happy
with ToDo - I think it's addressed every need/want/concern I have had
and will have for quite a while. I don't personally enjoy the Toodledo
web interface, but that's another topic.

What I'd like to know is how some people use ToDo in their daily
lives. Personally, I find myself living in the Focus List and feel I'm
not getting the most out of this wonderful app. I haven't read Getting
Things Done but I have implemented Contexts into my workflow such as
Apartment, Campus, Computer, and Errands. The only tags I have are for
classes yet I never find myself searching by context / tag. Instead, I
just go down the list in the order of due date/time.

How do you use ToDo? What has it done to help you accomplish tasks on
a day-to-day basis? I'm looking for some inspiration here and an
overall impression of how others use this great app.
