My situation was the same as Bob's. I synced for the first time after the update, and all of my projects' "children" were scattered as undated to-dos. I tidied that and have not had a problem since that time. I use ToodleDo (free) to sync but only for that; I almost never enter items there but always ToDo.

And I have not had one since. Since I only use Toodledo as a backup, this indicates that there was something about the update that caused things to separate. At this point, I've put the subtasks back in their respective projects in Todo. I've been syncing with Toodledo every morning. If I look at Toodledo, all of the subtasks appear as individual tasks. However, that doesn't get reflected in Todo when I sync. I suppose if I changed something on Toodledo, it might cause a change in Todo. This highlights the need for a desktop equivalent of Todo or at least the ability to back up the task database (on both PC and Mac).
