I may be able to help.  I have a Mac LC475 with a Apple IIe card (emulated)
and a 5.25" disk drive.  I can save these to a 3.5" disk.  From there, you
can use this disk on a Appleworks (I assume that's what she used) emulator,
Deja ][ for the Mac.

However, if you have that disk drive on one of your Macs, you just need a
ProDos extension, I can send that to you via email attachment.  You would
still need that Deja ][ emulator, but this way, you can copy these to a 3.5"
(providing you have that drive).
