Hi, y'all!

    I acquired a Microtech PCD-47 SCSI reader/writer on eBay for about $40.
It accepts SmartMedia and Compact Flash media. After getting it to read the
SmartMedia card from my digital camera on an IBM ThinkPad laptop, I tried it
with a Revision "C" Apple SCSI card on a IIgs. No luck. It hangs trying to
initialize ProDOS. A RAMFast SCSI card (older model) in a platinum IIe
wouldn't even boot with the PCD-47 powered up. However, a DMA Apple SCSI card
in the platinum IIe would recognize my camera's SmartMedia card. Of course,
it wasn't possible to access the image files on the SmartMedia card because it
uses the MS/DOG format.

I'll have to see if I can do something about that.

Willi
