I picked up a Laser 3000 today. It is apparently the first Vtech(sp?) Apple II clone circa 1984 , predating the Laser 128. From what I can find out , it wasn't a big seller in the US, but sold in Australia as the "Dick Smith Cat" .

It works. I received the retail box in fair condition, the CPU , an amber monitor, modem card, a FP Basic cartridge and a strange bare card that might not even go with this machine.

I also have the technical reference manual, user manual and a Basic manual. If anyone needs info from these, feel free to email. On the other hand, if anyone has a cassette cable, printer cable or other parts for the Laser 3000 and would like to part with them (cheap!) let me know.

Just another part of ancient Apple history. Don't you love the old computers that came with a tech manual showing circuit board layouts for hardware repairs and a multi-page listing of the OS kernel for do-it-your self programmers !
