*From* the iBook *to* the //c+ (??) The *inverse* (from the //c+ to the iBook) is easy if ... 1) You have modems on both computers. 2) You have terminal emulator programs on both computers. 3) You will settle for ASCII transfers. (Your message sounds like that's what you want.) I use ProTERM-A2 on my IIgs, and ProTERM-Mac on my iMac for terminal emulators. Regular phone cable connects the two modems. The old 2400bps modem on my IIgs slows things down a little bit, but it is no problem. I like to copy files to my RAMdisk on my IIgs first, and transfer from there. I have my ProTERM-A2 set to look first at RAMdisk for the file to be transferred. But I can just as well copy from a 5.25 or 3.5 or hard disk on the IIgs. -- Bill Neef Grass Lake, MI, USA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> PS: I should be able to transfer files *from* my iMac *to* my IIgs using the same technique, but I haven't yet figgered how. -- Apple2list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Apple2list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/apple2.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/apple2list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
