Those tinyurls are a bit of a pain, I agree. :)
I could tell from the ebay; descriptor that the 1st is a gateway
laptop, but I couldn't tell you a thing about it's specs and how well
it could handle an emulator.
The 2nd is a Powerbook 5300. To be honest, while I like the 5300, and
while it is a PowerPC unit, it probably isn't your best choice for
running an emulator--100 mhz speed, fairly limited HD sizes, and a bit
finicky at times (at least the ones I've used have been. :) )
You might want to look at a used Lombard, Pismo, or Clamshell
powerbook--you can get these fairly cheaply, and all will run Bernie
to the Rescue.

Computer n. A pocket calculator with a glandular problem.
My PowerMac 6100/60 (a 601 running at 60Mhz) had no trouble running
Bernie to the rescue back when I used it as my main computer. It also
ran NES and SMS emulation pretty good too... I'd say that a 100Mhz PB
should be good for bernie... May have to use a less than most recent
version, but it would certainly be something workable.
