mc is a textbased program - not a graphical one. And AFAIK Norton came
first and Midnight later.
And the internal editor in mc is not "vi" it's "mcedit" which isn't so very
strange from a standard (DOS) text editor. My favorite is still SetEdit
since the shortcuts are the normal ones, but mcedit isn't to bad. IIRC the
backspace key even removes the characther to the left and the delete key
the curent characther - and this is *very* uncommon in the UN*X world.
