Hi Joe;

Your post seems to indicate you are a sophisticated first time user with
probably more than Windows experience.

My first suggestion would be to locate MIME.cfg and, using a text editor,
insert a semicolon in front of lines 88 and 89 - which you will see both
contain the string "insert your mail floppy in drive A:".

This is only one possible explanation for your inability to read mail offline
and does not explain not being able to surf your drives - the two may be
related so the above fix, while necessary, may not be enough.
The only other thing I can think of right now is to make sure you have
defined a "TEMP" directory in your autoexec.bat and make sure it exists.

While you are at it, go to line 145 (file/dosshell.dgi) and remove the 2 "\"
in the string e$\\system....
