Targa has the extension TGA - not TIF (short for TIFF which is short for
something else). Have you tried PV that was able to use some TIFs that were
the result from my scanning some photgraphs several years ago.
PNG is handled by another 32-bit utility. (Already included with earlier
versions as well).
Besides, the support for these formats in djpeg.exe is for making them -
not the other way around. (gif and bmp are required, I'll drop the others,
the hardest to remove will probably be the OS/2 BMP option since it's
almost identical to the Windows BMP option).

Then why do some Mac users ask if they can run Windows [insert latest
version] on their computer?
Still the 32-bit one would probably report back when launched that the CPU
isn't a 386 or above.
