Hello All!
Just confirming that YES! Arachne runs on Freewwweb, in fact, I have an
ancient IBM PS2 with 1 meg memory, 2400 baud modem, running Freewwweb.
A few others have asked for the "Domain Name Server" for Freewwweb,
well, here they are, the DNS settings you need for best performance:
216.70.64.1
216.70.64.2
and Domain List, in WATTCP.CFG, set to domainlist="freewwweb.com"
don't worry about RWIN for now, but if you want, set it to 512. Also,
set your mss at no higher than 1024 to prevent package fragmentation.
Hope these tips help all! If you need further help and instruction or
guidance setting up a DOS Internet connection to Freewwweb, DO NOT waste
your time asking Freewwweb! They only offer support for WIN9X or NT.
