I'll now move below the block to type the next line.
This line is outside of the block.
Pressing <enter> while on the line just below the block caused that line
to become part of the block.

<cntrl>+V pasted the block and moved current cursor position to the
bottom of the new block.
<cntrl>+U no longer works to paste either a single line or a block.
(don't like that one either)<g>
I think I'll keep using edit or pedit.<vbg>
