>How does DR-DOS differ from MS-DOS? What advantages does DR-DOS offer, for

MS-DOS can't read my E drive which should be D in DOS ("Invalid media"), but
OS/2 Warp 4 reads this FAT16 partition as E:, and DR-DOS reads it as D:.
Partition that OS/2 Warp 4 reads as D: is HPFS. Windows 98 SE emergency boot
diskette made from image at http://www.bootdisk.com also failed to read the E
partition. MS-DOS 6.22 FDISK /status just swoons for me, black screen with
blinking white underline cursor in lower left corner, and I have to reboot. I
haven't used DR-DOS FDISK yet. My DR-DOS version is 7.03.
My Syquest SyJet drive (external SCSI), which behaves rather strangely with
regard to ejecting and inserting cartridges, sometimes ejects the cartridge on
its own in DR-DOS. This has not yet happened in MS-DOS 6.22, OS/2 Warp 4 or
Linux. I am not sure if this is a bug in DR-DOS or maybe the SyJet. Iomega
Zip 250, on same SCSI chain, is more normally behaved.
Also, sometimes my computer freezes under DR-DOS when connected to the Internet,
and after I reboot with Reset button (Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't work), year is reset
to 1994 or 2094, while month, day and time of day are not readjusted. Has
anybody else noticed such a readjusting of the year? I haven't had this year
alteration with MS-DOS or OS/2 Warp 4 using DOS mode. This has to do either
with DOS TCP/IP or possibly UKA_PPP. I use DOSPPD 0.6 with EPPPD & CHAT, or
less frequently NETDIAL & EPPPD.
