I don't know if you could call it memory allocation or not.

But I'm suddenly having a problem I *never* had before with Arachne.

I will often ALT-e and pop over to doze3.1 in order to read a pdf file,
in case I got the wrong thing in an ftp I'm still on line.

That requires me to reset my path ... i.e. simply add F:\win3.1 to the
end.

I can't do it when shelled out from Arachne any longer!
Why?
My system says I'm OUT OF ENVIRONMENT !!! ????
Even when I was doing COBOL compiles under DESQview and keeping notes in
my WordStar at the same time, I never ran out of environment space.
I set environment for 2048 and QEMM keeps telling there's no way I need
that much space.

But now running Arachne 1.60SR *something* invisible [i.e. doesn't show
up with SET command given at prompt] is eating up my environment.

I'm about to call Green Peace!
"Arachne Guilty of Environmental Pollution!"
