L.D.,
Hmmm, You've got a strange system!
I just went online, shelled to DOS, typed "SET" and this is what I got:
COMSPEC=C:\COMMAND.COM
FULTEMP=C:\TEMP
DIRCMD=/p /a /o
MSINPUT=C:\MSINPUT
PATH=C:\;C:\DOS;C:\BAT;H:\UTIL;C:\WINDOWS;
TEMP=C:\TEMP
MYIP=63.11.142.182
REMIP=206.115.157.187
NETMASK=0.0.0.0
PEERMRU=1500
OLDPMT=$P$G
PROMPT=You are still online$_Type EXIT to
The environmental variables, MYIP, REMIP, NETMASK and PEERMRU are set by
Arachne when Arachne connects with the ISP. If you end Arachne and your .BAT
program that you use to start Arachne doesn't clear these variables, you
should still get them by typing, "SET". (That is, unless Michael P. has
recently modified Arachne to clear these variables.)

Nope. I don't have an IP according to Arachne. I left mail, loaded the
homepage, ALT-E hit set and this is what appears:
COMSPEC=C:\DOS\COMMAND.COM
PATH=C:\DOS;Q:\COBOL;Q:\QEMM;G:\WS5.5;F:\FAX;H:\CABLE;C:\BOOT
TEMP=V:\TEMP
TMP=V:\TEMP
BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T4
USER=l.d.best
INFO=DOS Cable Spider Configuration
OLDPMT=$T$H$H$H$H$H$H $D $P $G
PROMPT=Type EXIT to return to Arachne$_$p$g
Nothing gets logged anywhere. I looked and looked!
