I figured out one thing about wordwrap in InSight. If you start adding
stuff in the middle of the line, it will not wrap for you. Of course my
super-cool-totally-love-it-favorite-editor won't wordwrap under those
conditions either. <G>
Where wordwrap [or lack there of] can drive you bonkers is when you go
to the end of a partial line to continue writing, and it seems it won't
word wrap then. When this happens the culprit is usually a blank space
at the end of the line you didn't realize was there because you can't
see it ... and the consequences of typing more to the left of that blank
unseen-but-there space is just like adding more in the middle of the
line: No wordwrap
Hint? If you've left where you were typing and want to start again,
be certain that you hit "End" key to get past any invisible blank
spaces at end of line.
I've had no problem with wordwrap failing to work simply because what
I'm writing turns into a looooooooooooooong file. I routinely write
messages 8K or larger with no wordwrap failure.
