Hello Kali;
I have been using EGA without problem with all the versions I have tried
up to the latest. I have also used (and like) Hercules.
But, I have a couple of ATI VGAWONDER XL cards. They have two connectors.
One for VGA/EGA and one for TTL (Hercules) monitors. These cards will
function and report as fully compatible HGC,EGA or VGA and will display
Hercules on TTL, EGA or VGA monitors, EGA video on TTL (WITH grayscale),
or EGA or VGA monitors and finally, VGA on VGA monitors.
They are quite old now, and it should be possible to find them in junk
stores for almost no cost.
I know where there IS another one if you get really desperate.
