Ok, in my searching to find a way to get more than 64MB "seeable" noone
mentioned this.

I didn't even know that there was a border in emm386. AFAIK the border is
in himem.sys.
I've been able to use 96MB with the old emm386.exe from MS-DOS 6.2x so I
doubt there's any border in it (atleast not that low).
