Wrong. Javascript does not run on Java. Java does not write or compile
javascript.
Any deuce with an editor and a masochistic streak a mile
wide can harvest free javascripts across the web, attempt to make them
fit, and stick them onto any html page.
To be foolish enough to want to learn how to write javascript, one need
not know Java [or Koffee] nor C nor BATch nor COBOL nor BASIC nor even
what a command line prompt looks like.
Javascript is just another html, except it is a hypO text markup
language in my book. [Hyper being "above" & hypo being "below"]
The current nattering is as off-base as saying "Since Canada and Great
Britain have 'socialized' medicine, they must be part of the United
Soviet Socialist Republics."
