I have had limited success extending the life of dot-matrix ribbons
with WD-40 spray lubricant. It is more of a makeshift fix to extend
the life of a ribbon till you can get a new one. There was at least
one product I remember seeing in the early 90's that reinked fabric
dot matrix ribbons, but it has been many years since I saw it
advertised. Perhaps the humongous Computer Shopper might offer
something like this in their voluminous ads. HTH.
