I have several cd players on my home computer. Two that work within
Win3.1 and one that is a dos app. With all of them, the program can be
started, and have the cd continue to play even if you quit the
program. The Win3.1 programs are kind of ugly in that they continually
access the HD while the program is running. Quit the program and the cd
keeps running and disk access stopps. Also the Win3.1 programs randomly
quit playing the cds after you quit the program, i.e. the cd will play a
couple of songs and then stop. The dos program just keeps right on
playing after quitting the program. You can even start DV or win3.1 and
the cd keeps on playing. I believe all of these programs came with my
SCSI card or my zip drive.
