I would have thought that Glenn would have come up with a "simple" solution 
using the MIME.CFG file.  "All you have to do is change this line .... to 
.... ."  

What about it Glenn?  Would that be a solution?  I have a freeware program, 
HTMSTRIP, that strips the HTML codes and I'm sure that Arachne has one also.

Hello Karen,

I've no solution, only an idea, mybe it helps.
If arachne is up and running there is the hotkey 'p' for printing
the actual screen to the printer port or to an ascii file.
If you send this ascii file to your speech machine, maybe it will
work.
I know that's not very comfortable but even more than nothing.<<
