Netscape on Linux is pretty much the same as Netscape
on Windows. Ditto Wordperfect. Ditto StarOffice.

Linux has a brain-dead point-and-click interface just
like Windows. Linux has a down-and-dirty CLI interface
just like DOS. Take your pick.

It varies. Some Linux applications are massively
bloated with eye-candy and excess functionality.
They require high-end Pentiums with 64meg RAM.
Other Linux applications will happily run on a
low-end 386 with 4meg RAM. Linux gives you PLENTY
of choices.

Sort of. Linux can be DOS-like, with a CLI, low
system requirements and a wealth of free software
(developed over 25 years). Linux can be Windows-
like, with an easy-to-use GUI, commercial-grade
software, and rock-solid multi-tasking.

Cheers,
Steven
