Starting from MS-DOS 7 (or Windows 95, whatever you choose to call it),
Edit is completly stand-alone. That is, no need for QBasic. Which
could also explain why QBasic is no longer included. Or it could be
the opposite: they wanted to remove QBasic, and leave Edit. So they
compiled it to be standalone. Either this or that, its without
QBasic now.
