Yes it is possible simply type into msdos.sys (a hidden text file in the
root dir of the boot partition)

Ready next time you start in pure DOS 7.
When you want to start windows type win.

DOS is a small kernel. That's it nothing more nothing less.
It is the thing which windows (1,2,3,95,98,me) need in order to be loaded.
(they need it BEFORE they start up theirselfs)
Windows NT/2000 are real OSesitself, and therefor need no DOS.

It is simply a DOS kernel loaded, and some drivers and no windows.
(like ms-dos 1.0-7.10)
