I don't follow the, "waiting for >" lines as you did not indicate anything
like this in describing you manual logins. I have added recommendations on
your Arachne.cfg post:

[dialer]
DialPage file:ppp_init.htm
Dialer @MINITERM.EXE>PPP.LOG
TerminalWindow @MINITERM.EXE
UseTerminal Yes <This will display your password
on the screen. Once you have debugged,
                    change to "No"
Port 3
Irq 4
Base 0x3e8
Mode 8N1
Speed 9600 <---Change to 115200
InitString AT&F1
DialString ATDT
PhoneNumber 6471000
Autologin No <---Change to Yes
WaitFor1 name: <---Change to ogin: Case is important!
Also make sure that there is a ":" sent
                        by the ISP.
Response1 \u
WaitFor2 sword:
Response2 \p
WaitFor3 > <---Leave blank unless
Response3 ppp <you really have to manually enter "PPP"
PPPusername Pvalliant
PPPpassword ******

;Port values: 0=non-standard serial (COM) port, 1-4 standard ports
;Base values: 0x??? (eg. 0x3e8) - Base and Irq are used for "Port 0"
;Mode values: databits/parity/stopbits (eg. 8N1)

Hope this helps!
