I've had trouble like this on and off. Try removing (or altering)
the [memory value] from the appropriate lines in MIME.CFG:

file/*.mes           >HTM|$einsight.exe -i $1 -cache=$t>$2
file/.mes            >HTM|$einsight.exe $1 -cache=$t>$2
