Is that the X Appeal that I saw some time ago?  It looked like a crippled demo,
where one would have to pay money for the real (?) thing.  That didn't seem
cost-effective, compared to Linux and BSD versions.  It didn't have (se)X 
Appeal.  Maybe somebody could try to port X to DOS with DJGPP.  Or do they
figure DOS is dying out, not worth the trouble considering lack of multitasking,
etc?

Not only the lack of good non-bloated mail clients, but IBM Web Explorer and the
problems with PPP.EXE.  If IBM had put good Internet applications into
OS/2 Warp 4, I would never have got interested in DOS Internet programs.  There
were a a few commercial or shareware email programs for OS/2, but I didn't want
any more of the bloated graphic interface with folders, cryptic file names and
proprietary formats.
